Job description

Position Overview

Branches of Growth Psychotherapy LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while providing critical support to individuals looking to change their relationship with alcohol and achieve improved mental health outcomes. As part of our treatment team, you will leverage evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach to collaboratively develop personalized therapy plans that cater to the distinct needs of each client.

About the Organization

At Branches of Growth Psychotherapy LLC, we prioritize accessibility and affordability in mental health care. Recognizing the challenges many face in altering their relationship with alcohol, our online platform connects members with resources such as a supportive anonymous community, therapist-led groups, and connections to licensed medical professionals. Our mission, inspired by the personal recovery journey of our founder, is rooted in the commitment to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a supportive environment where achievements in recovery are both attainable and celebrated.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing mental health professionals to practice their craft from the comfort of their own home while still being part of a supportive team environment. Our outpatient office setting is geared towards flexible work arrangements, enabling counselors to set their own schedules with no mandatory hours to fulfill. To streamline workflow, administrative tasks and billing are managed by our dedicated team, allowing you to focus on your clinical practice without the burden of back-end operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage your schedule to accommodate client meetings without minimum hour requirements.
  • Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to guide clients through their individual recovery journeys.
  • Ensure payment is received for any late cancellations or no-shows.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by obtaining CEU credits annually, with all costs covered by the organization.
  • Maintain close communication with our clinical operations team to ensure high-quality client care and efficient service delivery.
  • Facilitate optional support groups and contribute to the creation of “Expert Insights” content alongside our Content Manager.
  • Receive client referrals and work collaboratively to enhance therapeutic relationships.
  • Participate in monthly peer group discussions for shared learning and support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve supporting clients who are looking to modify their alcohol consumption habits or seeking help for alcohol-related issues. Many clients may express a need for moderation strategies instead of complete abstinence, emphasizing the importance of understanding harm reduction models. You will be integrating knowledge of community recovery support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and SMART Recovery to assist clients in identifying external resources that complement their treatment while reaffirming that our clinical services remain fundamental to their recovery.

Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Counseling (LPC) with a valid license to practice in Texas.
  • Proven experience and training in therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong clinical engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to convey empathy and understanding.
  • Knowledge of community resources available for recovery and addiction support.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations and addressing a variety of mental health concerns related to substance use.
  • Familiarity with online therapy platforms and telehealth best practices.
  • Experience in leading support groups and contributing to educational content in mental health.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, a retirement plan, and generous paid time off to promote work-life balance. You'll also have access to professional development resources, enabling you to further hone your skills and stay at the forefront of the field.

Career Growth Opportunities

Branches of Growth Psychotherapy LLC supports the ongoing professional development of our counselors. Opportunities exist for clinicians to engage in research and publication collaborations, participate in training, and take on leadership roles within the organization. Your contributions will not only enhance your professional journey but also positively impact the quality of care we provide.

Why Join Our Team

Joining our team means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that values integrity, collaboration, and innovation. You will be supported by a dedicated team of professionals and have the flexibility to balance your personal and professional life. If you are looking for a fulfilling career path that makes a tangible difference in people's lives while nurturing your professional growth, we would love to hear from you.

Application Information

If you are an enthusiastic and qualified mental health professional seeking an impactful role in an innovative practice, we encourage you to apply. Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your qualifications and why you would be an excellent fit for our team of compassionate counselors at Branches of Growth Psychotherapy LLC.
