Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ histories regarding substance abuse and mental health.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that address both addictive behaviors and underlying mental health challenges.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to foster client participation and progress.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, ensuring an integrated care model to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support for clients’ families to encourage their involvement in the recovery process, helping to build a strong support network.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client progress in compliance with industry regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with are individuals dealing with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues, all seeking support in their recovery paths. You will utilize your skills to address the unique challenges these clients face, emphasizing a client-centered approach that respects their personal experiences and goals.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated training or experience specifically in addiction counseling.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and related co-occurring disorders.
  • Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills with a strong ability to motivate and inspire clients.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities, fostering collaboration within the treatment team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing telehealth services, with proficiency in using online platforms for therapy sessions.
  • Further training in specialized treatment methods, such as Motivational Interviewing or Harm Reduction strategies.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary treatment environment focusing on substance abuse recovery.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and credentials.
