Job description

Position Overview: Metraflex is a manufacturer that has been supplying piping-specialty products to the commercial HVAC industry since 1958. Located in the West Town part of downtown Chicago, Metraflex has representatives selling their products across the country and around the world. The Sales QC Analyst is responsible for conducting audits and inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze return trends to reduce RMA numbers
  • Help manage compliance with listing agencies
  • Present trends to management
  • Create supplier testing reports
  • Complete and track other ISO 9001 replated reports
  • Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and guidelines across all product lines.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. This includes performing product testing and analysis to identify defects and improve quality.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot products or production issues, developing corrective actions to resolve quality problems.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to quality control processes, including reports on quality metrics and trends.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to establish quality standards and improve processes.
  • Train production staff on quality control procedures and standards to ensure compliance and enhance product quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with ISO 9001
  • 3+ years of experience with an audited quality control program
  • Four-year degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Time and scope management for multiple projects
  • Willing to travel up to 3 times a year
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with engineering drawings
  • Familiar with commercial HVAC systems and their components
  • Experience working with third party listing agencies
