Job Description:

Join SAP NS2's growing Quality Engineering team supporting SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP's strategic cloud platform comprised of rapidly evolving products and services. This role focuses on executing and expanding automated testing across the BTP ecosystem while balancing manual validation to ensure high-quality releases in a fast-paced Agile environment. You'll work closely with Release Managers, Engineers, and QA teammates to validate weekly product releases, proactively identify defects, and help scale automation using modern tools including Java, Playwright, and emerging AI-assisted testing technologies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Test applications and services across the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) as new product releases are deployed.
  • Execute existing automated regression suites built with Java and Playwright while expanding automation coverage for new functionality.
  • Perform manual testing where automation coverage is limited to validate new features and identify quality gaps.
  • Review and validate weekly product releases across multiple BTP services to ensure production readiness.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects while partnering closely with Engineering teams through resolution.
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers and Release Managers to prioritize testing efforts and divide responsibilities across multiple BTP services.
  • Participate in release planning, regression testing, and occasional off-hours smoke testing following production deployments.
  • Leverage AI-assisted testing tools, where applicable, to improve automation efficiency and accelerate testing efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of Quality Engineering, QA Automation, or Test Automation experience.
  • Hands-on experience testing SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) applications and services.
  • 5 years of Java programming experience focused on test automation.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and executing automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Experience balancing automated and manual testing within Agile software development environments.
  • Experience supporting frequent production releases, regression testing, smoke testing, and defect management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platform testing methodologies and QA best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across QA, Development, and Release Management teams.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to independently identify issues and drive quality improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI-assisted testing tools such as Cline, GPT, or other Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience with SAP BTP AI Launchpad.
  • Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with ServiceNow, including workflows, dashboards, or automation.
  • Experience creating automated QA reporting and dashboards.
  • Experience mentoring teammates on QA automation best practices.
