Job Summary:
Aechelon Technology, Inc. is a leading producer of 3D simulator content, including Geospecific visual/sensor databases and realistic 3D models. They are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead the validation strategy and testing execution for complex software systems, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. The role involves creating automation solutions and mentoring junior engineers while overseeing cross-team testing efforts.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Owns large feature areas or subsystems spanning multiple components, including complex interactions across runtime, tools, data, and rendering. Leads cross-team testing efforts and coordinates quality activities for major deliveries.
โ€ข Defines validation strategy for complex changes, including automation approach, performance considerations, and fidelity checks. Acts as a technical point of contact for quality risk and testability discussions.
โ€ข Own large feature areas or subsystems that span multiple components across Aechelon products, including complex interactions involving runtime, tools, data, and rendering.
โ€ข Leads validation for complex systems spanning multiple components or subsystems, coordinating quality activities across ownership boundaries.
โ€ข Define and drive validation strategies for complex or high-risk changes, including test scope, automation approach, performance considerations, and fidelity or correctness checks.
โ€ข Serve as the primary technical point of contact for quality risk assessment, testability discussions, and release readiness for owned areas.
โ€ข Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, reviewing test plans, test cases, and automation contributions to ensure consistency, coverage, and effectiveness.
โ€ข Identify gaps in coverage, tooling, or process, and influence improvements that scale quality across teams and releases.
โ€ข Define and drive validation strategies for complex or high-risk changes, with a strong emphasis on Python-based tool development, including test frameworks, utilities, and data-driven validation.
โ€ข Design, implement, and maintain tool and testing technology in Python that replace or significantly reduce manual testing for QA owned areas.
โ€ข Utilize AI assisted tools to improve/enhance the automation and day-to-day works.
Qualifications:
Required:

โ€ข Some experience with software testing or quality engineering
โ€ข Solid understanding of software development lifecycles
โ€ข Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
โ€ข Eligibility to work with export-controlled technology
โ€ข Practical experience applying AI tools in QA tasks
Preferred:
