Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and maintain a robust quality management system within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, improving product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

You'll work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and customers to ensure all quality expectations and specifications are met or exceeded.

Pay will be based off of experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO standards
  • Lead all internal and external audits, including third-party and customer audits
  • Monitor customer scorecards and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality and manufacturing issues
  • Establish and track quality objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues; has authority to stop production if critical standards are not met
  • Supervise and develop Quality Department staff, including lab personnel
  • Evaluate supplier quality and conduct vendor visits as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and specifications
  • Train plant personnel on quality procedures, testing methods, and equipment
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality concerns
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Quality, or similar)
  • 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience
  • 1-3+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Background in manufacturing environments required
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes
  • Experience with industry specifications such as:
    • ATPD 2352
    • ANSI Z26.1
    • MIL-STD 2073, 129, 130, 53072 (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence teams and drive quality culture across all levels
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Regular time spent on the production floor
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting moderately heavy equipment as needed
