Job description

Position Overview
Verra Mobility is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to champion the development and quality of our core technology products. You will lead automation initiatives, establish strict quality gates, and standardized testing methodologies across multiple engineering teams. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise in automation and strategic leadership to scale our QA competency.
To be successful, you must display robust leadership and interpersonal skills, possess a high aptitude for technical learning, and show initiative in solving complex engineering problems. You will foster collaboration, mentor team members, and maintain high composure and transparency in a fluid, fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Establish and enforce uniform QA processes, testing standards, and best practices across all development teams.
  • Implement and monitor strict quality gates within the CI/CD pipeline to ensure all product releases meet or exceed defined quality goals.
  • Architect, scale, and maintain comprehensive automated testing frameworks across web-based applications and windows services.
  • Guide and mentor QA team members, sharing knowledge to enhance overall engineering competency and automation maturity.
  • Analyze complex requirements, lead design reviews, and collaborate with Product, Development, and Scrum teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Oversee system integration, functional, regression, volume, and performance testing using both manual and advanced automated techniques.
  • Track, analyze, and report on defect metrics and test coverage to present quality findings to senior management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 7+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 2+ years in a senior, lead, or principal role.
  • Extensive experience creating, maintaining, and scaling automation frameworks using Playwright and JMeter for performance testing.
  • 5+ years of experience managing test plans and workflows using Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Deep understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies, iterative development, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong experience testing web-based applications, APIs, and Windows operating systems/services.
  • Proven ability to gather and use defect metric data to optimize team workflows and report clear findings to management.
  • Exceptional capacity to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and pivot quickly to meet high-priority business needs.
