Job Description:
  • Provides psychological evaluation, consultation, and treatment of patients.
  • Conducts individual and/or group therapy. Reviews the acute clinical cases requiring a higher skill set and supports documentation for performance and care.
  • Establishes effective, sustainable, integrated, and collaborative suicide prevention and intervention approaches and practices applicable to all mental health staff roles.
  • Provides clinical supervision for licensed and unlicensed mental health staff assigned to the outpatient setting.
  • Participates or conducts Grand Rounds with staff, medical providers, community providers, residents, and medical students assigned by the Mental Health Director. Meets with peers, staff (CHS and MCSO), and community providers as requested and scheduled by the Mental Health Director, CHS Medical Director, or CHS Director.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma/transcripts to support graduation with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from an accredited program.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted Psychologist license issued by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • Current, completed PSV from the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners.
  • Signed attestation of currently meeting the requirements to supervise associate-level licensed and unlicensed personnel with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
  • Minimum three years of past work experience in this position.
