Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Project Support who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Associate Project Support will perform specific assigned activities supporting the Project Manager of the project. Examples are reported below:
  • Ensure prompt recording of project correspondence on Project SharePoint sites and tracking logs for correspondence to/from clients and to/from subcontractors;
  • Ensure prompt releases of submittals to the client following release from the project team;
  • Preparation of customer monthly progress reports through data maintained by the Associate Project Support, as well as data provided by the Project team and PM;
  • Support preparation of Monthly/Quarterly Project Review presentations in PowerPoint by the PM;
  • Preparation of Project Progress Payment documentation and invoicing to the Project client;
  • Support preparation of Variation Orders for the Projects;
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Project Management Plan;
  • Support the Project Manager for any other specific task as appropriate.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 0 to 3 years expertise in a Project Management role
  • Ability to support many projects and Project Managers simultaneously
  • Experience with Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint, Word

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree and PM Certification or Equivalent Technical Background

Languages:
  • Written and spoken English proficiency.

In accordance with the DOT's FRA and FTA programs, Hitachi's substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees, as required for safety-sensitive positions.
The salary range for this position is $77,000 - $116,000 per year. Final pay is determined by the candidate's experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
