Job Description
*Candidates must be located in Mississippi in the Ellisville area. Requires up to 10-15% travel.
Howard Technology Solutions is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the successful execution of technology projects. In this role, you will assist in managing projects delivered by Howard Consulting Engineers, Howard Technicians, and Howard subcontractors. You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure projects align with client needs, timelines, and budgetary goals.
Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
    • Plan, initiate, and oversee key projects according to our services methodology.
    • Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Manage project risks, dependencies, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution.
    Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Assist in maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and ensuring their expectations are met.
    • Act as a Howard steward for quality, ensuring customer satisfaction.
    Budget Responsibility:
    • Monitor and interpret project budgets, ensuring that expenses and invoices are accurately tracked and approved in a timely manner.
    Scope & Change Management:
    • Help assess project scope and document changes or risks that may impact delivery.
    • Demonstrate ability in negotiating small changes and solving problems that might impact the project.
    Resource Coordination:
    • Assist in identifying and scheduling resources while optimizing billable hours.
    • Be accountable for project results while holding the project team to the same standard.
    • Support timecard approvals, expenses, and invoice submissions.
    Problem-Solving & Communication:
    • Help facilitate project communications, including status reports and schedules.
    • Assist in resolving minor project issues and escalating challenges when needed.
    Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all deliverables defined in Howard's Statement of Work are met, performing quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
