Job description

We are seeking Assistant Project Managers to support Project Managers in building and delivering exceptional services catered to our clientsโ€™ specific goals and concerns. Are you passionate about joining a team of professionals who put the client first to deliver a great end product? At W.T. Rich we will provide you with specialized training and development tools that support you to be your best at running projects, collaborating with clients, and developing professionally.

In this role, you will assist the Project Manager with:

  • Collaborating and working with clients, owners, subs and W.T. Rich staff
  • Assist with project set up, project execution, project closeout, financial management and relationship management
  • Assist with the management of the construction administration process from pre-construction through close-out, including reviewing and tracking contracts; pricing; purchase orders; change orders; shop drawings; submittals; and Requests for Information (RFI), all using Procore
  • Submitting building permits and following up on relevant issues
  • Scheduling and coordinating project meetings
  • Capturing and distributing weekly meeting minutes
  • Write descriptions of work for purchase orders and subcontractor Scope of Work sheets
  • Assist Project Manager with other duties that develop

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Education:

  • BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or other relative degrees
  • MS degree in related fields is a plus
  • OSHA-30 training โ€“ a plus, but not required
  • Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License โ€“ a plus, but not required
  • Massachusetts public construction industry experience โ€“ a plus, but not required
  • LEED AP or Green Associate โ€“ a plus, but not required
  • 0-5 years of experience in construction management with a commercial general contractor / construction manager
  • Experience with Procore, MS Office Suites, Revit, AutoCAD or other project management software a plus
  • Experience managing small projects or as part of a project team on larger, more complex projects

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail โ€“ required
  • Basic computer skills and competency โ€“ required
  • OSHA-10 Certification โ€“ required
