Job description

Kaufman Lynn Construction is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to play a key role in driving diverse, large-scale projects across Southeast Florida. With approximately 75% remote flexibility, this position blends autonomy with hands-on involvement at our Delray Beach office and active jobsites. From multifamily and high-rise developments to government, education, healthcare, senior living, cultural, and commercial spaces, you’ll lead scheduling and planning efforts that keep projects on track and successful. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact while collaborating with a highly engaged operations team at one of Florida’s most respected and fastest-growing general contractors.
Job Summary:
  • Coordinate, maintain and update project schedules in collaboration with the operations team, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Assign resources within schedules based on procurement plans and awarded subcontracts.
  • Lead biweekly meetings with operations to review schedule updates and project progress.
  • Analyze schedules, incorporate change orders, monitor delays, and develop fragnets when necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute schedule and progress reports, including variance details as specified.
  • Perform schedule comparisons and baseline variance analyses as required.
  • Support the development of preliminary schedules.
  • Organize and facilitate pull plan sessions.
  • Visit job sites to observe actual progress.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum four years of construction experience, including at least one year in scheduling with a construction general contractor.
  • Experience in multifamily construction and high-rise projects is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Primavera Project Planner (P6) with the ability to develop BL schedule with minimum supervision.
  • Able to lead meetings with architects and owners, presenting and gathering schedule information.
  • Capable of reading construction plans and engineering drawings.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to participate in marketing presentations.
