Associate Engineering Data Scientist

Company:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering team, P-8 Sustainment program, is seeking an Associate Engineering Data Scientist to join our dynamic team leading the way in Integrated Health Management Systems (IHMS) in Tukwila, Washington. Our engineers work in a highly dynamic environment collecting data, analyzing data and making actionable recommendations to enable critical product improvements and support decisions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs data analysis integral to the research, development, test and evaluation of company products or manufacturing processes
  • Investigates and applies best fit methods and algorithms, validates results and performs necessary data preparation and enhancements to models

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical or engineering field
  • Experience developing and testing software products in a cloud computing environment
  • Education or experience in computational problem solving or data analytics (e.g. software development with C++, Java, or Python)
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data analytics tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in a role that requires strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working in engineering change management
  • Experience providing engineering support to aircraft production systems
