Job description

Environmental Engineer (Associate)
Company:
The Boeing Company
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Environmental Engineer to join our team in Portland, OR.
The selected candidate's primary responsibility will be to support implementation of the environmental compliance program for the site. The candidate will ensure permit compliance, interface with regulatory agencies, lead programs to help Boeing comply with emergent environmental regulations, and advance the site's certified ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Supports the development, implementation and administration of environmental management systems, processes and programs
  • Supports and develops compliance reviews of internal processes and practices
  • Evaluates facility conditions and recommends alternatives
  • Supports interface with regulatory agencies
  • Supports other environmental compliance programs as needed

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing Portland Site located in Gresham, Oregon.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience with environmental compliance, environmental program management
  • 1+ years of experience in areas of air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, storage tanks, environmental sampling, data analysis, and/or environmental reporting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, or environmental management
  • 3+ years of experience with environmental compliance and regulations
  • Experience implementing or managing an environmental, health and safety management system
  • Environmental Permitting Experience
