-Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level;
-Demonstrated excellence in research and other scholarly activity;
-Experience in teaching mechatronics, dynamic systems, vibrations, and controls.
Job Specific Required Qualifications
-Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field;
-ABD with completion by time of appointment will be considered;
-Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in dynamic systems, mechatronics;
- Ability to complement at least one of our existing strengths such as advanced mobility, autonomous systems, new energy, crash safety, or related areas;
-Ability to use modern engineering tools for teaching and research;
-Ability to develop an externally funded applied-research program;
-Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in the English language;
-Ability and desire to contribute through department, university, community and professional service work.
Evidence of, research for Assistant/Associate Professor and/or industrial applications of mechatronics and dynamic systems for Professor of the Practice. Note the Assistant/Associate Professor are tenure track while the Teaching Professor and Professor of the Practice are non-tenured renewable positions with the possibility of multi-year contracts.
