Job description

FACULTY POSITION DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY DIVISION OF GENERAL SURGERY SECTION OF COLORECTAL SURGERY The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks candidates to join the full-time faculty of the Division of General Surgery, Section of Colorectal Surgery, at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates should be board-certified in Colorectal Surgery or currently in training in an accredited Colorectal Surgery fellowship program. Responsibilities will include establishing a broad Colorectal Surgery practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center with a focus on complex inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer, conducting independent clinical or laboratory research, and educating medical students, surgery residents, and fellows.

Candidates should have a clear plan for clinical practice building, academic development, and scholarly activity that is consistent with the mission of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The School of Medicine is located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, near the famous Inner Harbor and Camden Yards. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein.
