The Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a Gastroenterologist with expertise in gut motility at the rank of Associate (non-track), Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (tenure or non-tenure/clinical track). The individual selected will join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Pancreatology and Nutrition to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services primarily at the University of Iowa Stead Family Childrenโs Hospital, as well as at established outreach clinics across the State of Iowa. The Division has 9 other faculty engaged in clinical and basic science research, teaching and a full range of clinical activities, a wellโestablished ACGMEโaccredited fellowship program, a strong collaboration with Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric Anesthesia and a variety of other ancillary services.
- Must hold an MD/DO degree, or equivalent
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, or equivalent
- Board certified or eligible in gastroenterology, or equivalent
- Desirable Qualification: License or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa
- Clinical experience in pediatric gastroenterology
- Completed specialized training in motility and/or is proficient in the performance of motility procedures
- Experience in patient-oriented research
- Teaching competence in pediatrics for medical students and residents
- Evidence of scholarly activity
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
