Job description

Job Overview:
Linde is looking for qualified applicants to fill the role of Production Technician for the hydrogen and air separation processes.The Production Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a team environment. This position is a 12-hr shift position, alternating nights and days, and will report to the Plant Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties of a Production Technician include but are not limited to:
  • Work 12 hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Starting and shutting down equipment and processes.
  • Monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operating parameters.
  • Correctly performing valve line-ups.
  • Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-out.
  • Correctly and safely permitting maintenance work.
  • Professional judgment for operating the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times.
  • Procedure development and training of new employees.
  • Effectively communicating with our customers and suppliers when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The Production Technician must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and recognize when to escalate matters when more experienced specialists must be called in for support.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 + years Production Operations experience or Associates Degree with previous internship in Plant Operations
  • Strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft applications).
  • Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, meters, instrument calibration equipment etc.
  • Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and steps, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or higher preferred.

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $57,225 - $83,930.
