FMH Conveyors is searching for aย Production Plannerย responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems. Monitoring & Tracking KPIs regarding production efficiencies.

Theย Production Plannerย is a member of the Supply Chain team and collaborates with the other functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, HR) on executing company strategies, meeting budgets and the work unit planned processes. This person must demonstrate hands-on leadership in unison with the Director of Supply Chain & Logistics on implementing strong cultural beliefs and values throughout the organization.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESย include the following, other duties as assigned.

  • Conducts capacity analysis by specific work center
  • Expedites and prioritizes work orders by coordinating and managing daily production schedule meetings
  • Issues and tracks production orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule
  • Analysis sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
  • Interfaces with manufacturing and purchasing staff on material status and production planning issues
  • Maintains production item master setup, sets up daily production entries and posts production entries
  • Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions
  • Oversees cycle counts
  • Analyze labor on daily production reports
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are reviewed often and notifies the Director of Manufacturing when such policies or procedures may need to be revised to increase work efficiency in the department

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION: Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4 years of production planning in a manufacturing environment
  • ERP systems experience and a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs
  • Experience with lean concepts and tools
  • Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel
  • Must be able to work independently as well collaborate with production managers
  • Exceptional organizational skills required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to an eight-hour shift; ascend and push, and pull up to 50 lbs; bend, twist and reach to check freight, stack boxes, and label.
