Job Description
The Production Manager coordinates activities related to the production of company products. Their responsibilities include scheduling, fabrication, and shipment of all orders within the manufacturing facility. Work in conjunction with safety, quality, purchasing, transportation, and production control. The Manager ensures that the facility meets safety, quality, production, and cost objectives by performing the following duties. You will report to Plant Manager.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and find ways to continuously improve for maximum safety.
  • Collaborate with management to establish production and quality control standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering specifications and certification agencies.
  • Plan and direct production activities, setting priorities based on effective operations, customer service, and cost factors.
  • Manage inventory, scrap, and material utilization.
  • Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to optimize resource utilization.
  • Analyze production control, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify non-conformities and operational issues using six-sigma, root cause analysis and similar tools.
  • Familiar with D.M.A.I.C. process.
  • Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to adjust production schedules and priorities due to equipment failure or system issues.
  • Consult with maintenance personnel regarding machines and equipment modifications to enhance production and product quality.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in manufacturing, engineering, or operations management; or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or operations management and/or have 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of managment exepriance.
  • Holds a valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Lifting Capacity - ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Mobility - prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, etc.
  • Exposure - moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Noise Tolerance - high noise levels.

Additional Information
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $92,000-$100,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
