Role Description
Form Energy is hiring an Associate Manager to support the Manufacturing Operations team. This role reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Operations at the FF1 (Form Factory 1) location in Weirton, WV. As part of our production team, you will own safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance and lead supervisors for one of the production lines. In this role, you would serve as the critical operations leader for your line, collaborating with engineering, maintenance, quality, safety, and many other teams. What you'll do:
  • Own safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance for your assigned production line(s) across all shifts of a 24/7 operation.
  • Build a culture that prioritizes safety and product quality while consistently meeting production targets
  • Lead, develop, and mentor shift supervisors and production associates, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and continuously learning environment focused on operational excellence.
  • Own execution of the production plan, including staffing, materials availability, yield, and schedule adherence in partnership with planning and supply chain.
  • Drive equipment reliability and OEE improvement with maintenance and engineering teams, including changeover reduction and planned downtime execution.
  • Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.

What you'll bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in managing teams of people in a high volume manufacturing setting.
  • 6+ years of experience in a high volume manufacturing setting, ideally in battery, chemical, powder processing, or similar process-intensive industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing, SPC, and structured problem solving (8D, A3, DMAIC, or similar).
  • Experience managing leaders in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership ability with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Where you'll work:
This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV-an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.
