How you will make an impact:

The Associate Product Solutions Engineer at Meissner will support fast-paced pre-sale and post-sale activities that contribute to the development and implementation of complex technical products in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. This role will collaborate with experienced engineers to help develop customer-driven solutions, contribute to proposal development and feasibility assessments, and support project execution activities. Success in this role requires adaptability and a collaborative mindset to work across internal teams and engage with customers and suppliers in a dynamic environment.

  • Support nimble solution development by helping adapt existing platforms and develop custom designs to meet customer needs. Learn to evaluate design trade-offs and assist senior engineers in developing technically sound solutions through internal and external collaboration.
  • Aid in the evaluation of suppliers for the development of solutions by gathering information, reviewing technical materials, and coordinating with senior engineers. Assist in maintaining positive working relationships through clear, professional communication.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing customer requirements. When applicable, begin reviewing User Requirement Specifications (URS) and building Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and senior engineers.
  • Support fast-paced feasibility evaluations by assisting with test setups, gathering input data, and helping senior engineers assess early-stage ideas and customizations. Learn to recognize key technical constraints and contribute to quick go/no-go decisions.
  • Participate in the proposal development by assisting with the interpretation of customer requests, gathering input from technical teams, assembling proposal content under guidance, and reviewing quotations.
  • Partner with sales and customer teams by responding to technical questions and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely information under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Enable timely communication by coordinating updates between internal teams and customers, ensuring responsiveness in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) under the direction of senior team members.
  • Travel to and participate in industry trade shows, events, and speaking engagements. Provide technical presentations, both at Meissner and customer sites, to support sales efforts.

This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage personal tasks and deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibited mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn how mechanical components and systems function within complex assemblies.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities: Define problems, collect data, interpret complex technical instructions, and draw valid conclusions. Attention to detail is critical for life-saving drug production processes??????.

US BASE PAY SCALE $76,800 - $94,600

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
