This position is located onsite at our Fuquay-Varina, NC facility.
Daily Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive expertise in cable accessories, specializing in low (0-8kV), medium (15-46kV), and high voltage (69kV+) products.
  • Extend a complete understanding of the products from highly technical to hands-on experience.
  • Utilize advanced engineering tools for intricate design and optimization of product designs, including simulation software
  • Participate in cross-functional global teams, collaborating seamlessly with professionals in sales, manufacturing, and quality assurance to meet customer needs and uphold industry standards.
  • Work closely with the testing team, playing a pivotal role in designing and executing product validation tests according to rigorous industry standards.
  • Possess strong analytical skills for problem-solving and optimization in product development.
  • Gain and develop an in-depth understanding of cable accessory materials, manufacturing processes, and applications.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as UL, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and their application in product development.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing to the generation of inventive solutions to engineering challenges
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation, encompassing detailed drawings, schematics, and comprehensive product specifications.
  • Execute Research & Development projects with precision, overseeing planning, timeline forecasting, budget management, and logistics coordination using the efficient "Stage Gate" process.
  • Attend targeted professional development workshops to enhance skills in project management, communication, and leadership.
  • Engage proactively in networking opportunities, fostering relationships with colleagues and industry professionals for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

What your background should look like
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years' experience in the power industry, or master's degree in electrical engineering
  • Focus on low/medium voltage products or shielded cables a plus
  • Self-motivated with little guidance.
  • Strong technical writing ability and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively both internally and with customers.
  • Support manufacturing throughout the production cycle, including creating testing plans and problem-solving on the manufacturing floor.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $89,600 - $134,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
