Job description

Welcome. We're glad you're here. And we're not just saying that. We're glad we're here too. We are proud of this company and take great pleasure in introducing you to the Watson difference.
We are builders.
For more than 50 years we have designed and built revolutionary and award-winning workplace solutions for some of the most dynamic and innovative companies. Our designs are functional, simplistic, and manufactured with a high respect for our environment and our people. We are proud to source the best talent and materials at our manufacturing facility in Poulsbo, WA.
We're looking for a Product Delivery Manager who thrives on execution, coordination, and getting complex work across the finish line.
This role partners closely with the Product Strategy (Discovery) team and the Order Engineering team, serving as the owner of the Product Delivery function. The position leads the operational delivery of New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring products move successfully from development to launch.
The role is responsible for managing timelines, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring new products are fully prepared for launch. This includes overseeing product readiness across testing, documentation, configuration, training, and organizational handoff.
Working closely with Product Development, Design, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Sourcing, Marketing, and Sales teams, this leader ensures that all operational requirements are met and that new products are successfully integrated into the business. The role drives alignment across functions, proactively resolves launch risks, and ensures a smooth transition from product development to ongoing operational ownership.
This role is not the primary product visionary or lead engineer. Instead, you are the person who brings structure, accountability, urgency, and follow-through to the process.
You know how to keep teams moving. You ask the hard follow-up questions. You identify risks early. You hold timelines together.
Around here, launch readiness matters and this role helps make sure we get there.
Welcome to The Orchard
This role is on-site at The Orchard, our Pacific Northwest workplace in Poulsbo, Washington.
The Orchard is more than a campus-it's a living reflection of who we are. Surrounded by towering Douglas firs, winding walking trails, and mountain views, it's a place designed to support both focus and connection. It's also where you'll find dogs padding through the hallways, teammates gathering for table top games and monthly BBQs, and conversations that turn into real, meaningful change.
We believe in investing in growth; yours and ours. At Watson, you'll find learning and development opportunities that help you stretch your skills, explore new ideas, and turn curiosity into capability.
What you'll do:
New Product Introduction (NPI) Leadership
  • Lead the execution and delivery of new product introduction efforts from concept through launch
  • Own product development timelines, milestones, and launch readiness
  • Drive accountability across teams to ensure projects stay on schedule
  • Identify risks early and proactively adjust plans to maintain commitments
  • Coordinate deliverables across Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Sourcing, Design, and Sales teams

Project & Timeline Management
  • Manage complex cross-functional project schedules and dependencies
  • Coordinate workstreams for the Discovery and Delivery teams
  • Ensure projects move forward with clarity, urgency, and structure
  • Facilitate meetings, track action items, and remove roadblocks
  • Maintain visibility into project status, risks, and key decisions

Product Readiness & Manufacturability
  • Ensure products are properly validated before release into production
  • Coordinate prototyping and feasibility studies throughout development
  • Partner with Operations to ensure products are manufacturable, scalable, and aligned with production capabilities
  • Help define initial product quality standards and launch readiness expectations
  • Support initial supplier specification and qualification in partnership with Purchasing and Sourcing
  • Ensure products are not just designed well - but can be built efficiently and consistently at scale

Product Data & Configuration Oversight
  • Oversee creation and curation of product data required for launch
  • Own the sales tools systems for product data, both for launch and for the life of the product
  • Own the CET roadmap ensuring the best internal and external customer experience
  • Lead and support the internal product data and configuration functions
  • Ensure product structures, configurations, and launch deliverables are accurate and complete across systems
  • Coordinate deliverables related to:
  • ERP systems
  • CET
  • CAP
  • SPEC
  • CIL
  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp

Launch Readiness & Organizational Handoff
  • Own launch readiness across all internal Watson teams
  • Ensure product engineering, product data, quoting tools, training, supplier readiness, and manufacturing deliverables are completed on time
  • Coordinate handoff of all required deliverables related to new product introduction
  • Ensure teams across Manufacturing, Customer Experience, Sales, Scheduling, and Operations are prepared to support launch

Product Training & Internal Enablement
  • Coordinate internal product training and launch communication activities
  • Ensure internal teams understand product functionality, configuration, and operational impacts
  • Support the transition from development into operational ownership

Team Leadership
  • Lead and support a team of approximately 6-8 contributors across product data, configuration, and launch support functions
  • Create structure, accountability, and clarity within the team
  • Help prioritize work and maintain focus against launch timelines
  • Support team development and continuous improvement

What You'll Need to Know
  • 5-10+ years of experience in product development, new product introduction (NPI), project management, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional timelines and deliverables
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing teams
  • Understanding of product launch readiness, manufacturability, and production processes
  • Experience coordinating prototyping, testing, or feasibility validation efforts
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, configuration tools, or product data management processes
  • Preferred:
Experience in commercial furniture, manufacturing, or durable goods industries
Experience with Inventor, CET, or AutoCAD, is a plus

Who You Are
  • Someone who thrives on organization, timelines, and follow-through
  • Someone who can hold teams accountable while maintaining strong working relationships

  • Someone who understands that execution matters just as much as ideas
  • Someone who sees risks early and proactively works through them
  • Someone who knows how to motivate teams and maintain momentum
  • Someone who can keep projects moving without needing to own every technical answer
  • Someone who believes details matter - especially when launching something new
