Currently, the Baton Rouge office of Brown & Brown is seeking an exceptional individual with proven discipline, drive, and commitment to join our sales team. This individual will be highly competitive and skilled in relationship building. We will rely on you be relentless in recruiting and retaining clients for our organization.


The position will demand critical/creative thinking to develop and deliver applicable solutions to prospective and existing clients. The Producer will be responsible for creating leads which are generated through the development of professional relationships, cold calling, community involvement, and internal referrals. The position will have unlimited earning potential and advancement opportunities for a career-minded individual.

Qualifications

Required Competencies:

  • BS, BA or 5-10 years plus relevant work experience in insurance sales.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing a pipeline, delivering effective sales strategies and a reputation as a client-centric sales professional.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of principles and methods of selling products; services and value propositions; sales marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Technical knowledge of products, services, and value propositions; pipeline management; and cross-selling.
  • Ability to identify and leverage essential information and think in a critical and logical manner.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment where initiative and self-motivation are required, as is the ability to work in a client-centric strategic and decisive manner according to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability and desire to work in a company with a strong corporate culture and varied personalities.
