Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Supports engineering, maintenance, and process operations by coordinating work orders, preventive maintenance, documentation, contractors, safety activities, facility services, and production support.
What You'll Do
  • Schedule and track preventive maintenance and work orders
  • Maintain equipment and maintenance records in TabWare or similar systems
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Production and Engineering
  • Support equipment upgrades, facility repairs, and contractor work
  • Track documentation, audits, corrective actions, housekeeping, and 5S activities
  • Support safety, compliance, pest control, and facility services
  • Communicate across Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Process teams
  • Assist with continuous improvement and other plant support activities

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Manufacturing, maintenance, or process operations experience
  • Basic problem-solving and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training, associate degree, or related experience preferred
  • Experience with CMMS systems, contractors, manufacturing equipment, or facility systems preferred

The range for this position is $70,662.00 - $97,160.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
