Job Posting:

Hamlett Environmental Technologies - A Ferguson Company, is seeking a Water & Wastewater Engineered Sales Representative in our Waterworks Process Solutions Division. This is an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career in technical sales while supporting Michigan's municipal and industrial water markets.

This position requires up to 50% travel within territory plus other travel as required. (e.g. factory visits to principal manufacturers, industry events, training,). Initial training/ramp up period will require presence in office in Howell, MI.

Position Summary

Working alongside experienced sales professionals, you will partner with engineers, municipalities, contractors, and manufacturer representatives to support water and wastewater projects from design through completion. As you develop technical and industry knowledge, you'll gain increasing responsibility while helping customers identify effective process equipment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers, manufacturer partners, and internal stakeholders to support projects from early engagement through product delivery and post-installation support.

  • Collaborate with Process Solutions team members by contributing to sales strategies, technical presentations, and portions of complex sales pursuits with extended sales cycles.

  • Perform fundamental product application analysis, product selection, estimating support, scope development, bidding assistance, and issue resolution.

  • Assist engineers with specification recommendations and early-stage design development to position Ferguson solutions.

  • Assist senior sales leadership in engaging influencers among engineers, owners, and contractors.

  • Analyze competitive activity within the territory and communicate market insights to management.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities and pipeline within the Sales CRM System.

  • Represent Ferguson Process Solutions at industry events and associations as appropriate.

  • Develop sales knowledge & competencies to seek opportunities to present other Ferguson offerings (ex: Geo Storm, PVF, Fire Fab, etc.) within the primary solution of Process Solutions.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment, process equipment sales, municipal infrastructure, engineering consulting, contractor sales or a related industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; construction management or related degrees considered.

  • EIT or PE license preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, process equipment, treatment systems, or related water and wastewater infrastructure solutions preferred.

  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Results-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based sales environment.

This is an annual bonus eligible role. The estimated total compensation range is $98,800 - $158,100.annually.
