FTS Platform Engineer - Sr. Messaging Engineer
TITLE: FTS Platform Engineer - Sr. Messaging Engineer
EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the US subject to authorization from management)
DUTIES: Lead architecture, engineering, installation and configuration of messaging and streaming products. Ensure secure, high-performance infrastructures align with enterprise requirements. Automate deployment, upgrades, certificate management, and service provisioning for messaging platforms. Enable real-time monitoring, alerting, and telemetry for operational visibility. Resolve connectivity issues, provision messaging objects, and troubleshoot systemic platform anomalies. Assess utilization, forecast growth, and execute scaling strategies for optimal availability. Monitor inventories, schedule renewals, and enforce secure integration across messaging infrastructure. Apply product patches, perform upgrades, and remediate vulnerabilities with minimal disruption. Streamline infrastructure operations and reduce manual overhead through delivery automation. Integrate business applications with MQ systems using standardized technical and procedural steps. Update product setup guides, certificate inventories, and stakeholder contacts, as well as ensure CMDB accuracy. Conduct training sessions, mentor peers, and promote continuous learning across the team. Align messaging strategies with business goals and ensure cohesive delivery across development phases. Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and ensure platform stability for critical operations.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 4 years in any job title involving infrastructure engineering experience. Prior experience must include: 4 years working with IBM MQ; 4 years working with containers and cloud technologies including AWS and Azure; 4 years working with monitoring tools including Dynatrace and Splunk; and 2 years working with Rabbit MQ and Azure Service Bus.
