Drive Inventory Excellence. Support Manufacturing Success.


We're looking for a detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting production schedules, managing inventory, and ensuring materials are available to meet customer demand. You'll work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality to optimize inventory performance, improve processes, and support on-time delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Manage purchased parts inventory to support uninterrupted production.
  • Monitor supplier performance, purchase orders, and deliveries while escalating potential supply issues.
  • Support production scheduling to achieve on-time delivery goals.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, system reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Inventory Control, Finance, Sourcing, and Commodity Managers to establish inventory targets and improve material flow.
  • Analyze inventory variances, BOM accuracy, and material planning data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain production scheduling tools, inventory reports, and visual management systems.
  • Utilize Syteline and other ERP tools to monitor inventory, production, and purchasing activities.

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of inventory control, materials management, demand planning, or production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment; five or more years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, preferably Syteline.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements


Work is performed in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to normal production conditions, including noise and moving equipment. Eye protection and steel-toe footwear are required in designated areas.

The role involves extended periods of computer and telephone use, along with frequent walking throughout the facility. Candidates must be able to stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds, with infrequent lifting of up to 40 pounds. Occasional travel (less than 10%) to local warehouses may be required.
