Job description

Full Time, M-F Days
Onsite for the NeuroDevelopmental Science Center (Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physiatry)
Summary:
The Practice Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing a large team of non-exempt and exempt employees, of at least two subspecialty practices, with additional oversight of at least six locations within the region. This role involves strategic direction, operational guidance, and people management in the practice. The Practice Administrator will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring financial performance, and optimizing operational efficiency. This role requires flexibility to travel within the region as needed.
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strategic direction and operational guidance to primary care facilities within the region.
  2. Develop and implement standardized operational processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  3. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with finance and administration teams to develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial performance targets.
  5. Monitor revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, and collections, to optimize revenue generation and financial sustainability.
  6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies to maximize resource utilization and minimize expenses.
  7. Manges the OKR/Goal setting for those in the Management Incentive Plan in a manner that encourages both individual and team results.
  8. Manage day-to-day operations of the office, including scheduling, billing, and medical records mgmt.
  9. Recruit, train, and supervise administrative and clinical support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
  10. Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to implement quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.
  11. Responsible for the ongoing development of employee engagement initiatives.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Technical Expertise
  1. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  2. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  3. Proficient in data analysis, financial management, and project management.
  4. Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  5. Proficiency in using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Education and Experience
  1. Education: Associate degree in healthcare administration required. In lieu of an associate degree, eight years of experience in healthcare management is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. RN Preferred.
  2. Licensure: RN may be required for management of certain practices for ODH requirements.
  3. Certification: Certificate in Healthcare Management required within two years of employment.
  4. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 8 years' experience managing multiple healthcare facilities, preferably in an ambulatory practice management setting, required.
  5. Years of supervisory experience: Minimum of 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations and people management, preferably within an ambulatory practice management setting, required.
