Position Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider ("APP") is a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who works closely with and is supervised by the physicians in the Care Team. APPs are expected to have the highest standards for clinical capability, professional education, quality improvement and overall patient care. The position requires a current Maryland License, Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Maryland CDS and DEA certificate.
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Job Duties Include:
  • Assessing patients independently, in collaboration with the supervising physician
  • Assist in acute and chronic care management of patients
  • Perform history and physical assessments
  • Perform minor procedures
  • Order and manage labs and radiographic findings
  • Prescribe medications for patients
  • Provide education to patients
  • Assist in the establishment and accomplishment of practice goals and objectives

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant:
  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and national certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient with technology and comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Sound clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to delivering care that meets the highest clinical standards
  • At minimum two (2) years of experience working as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
