POSITION SUMMARY
Warehouse Associates will perform various activities such as receiving, sorting, loading
and unloading, and shipping products. They will organize stock, maintain inventory, and
process, pack, and ship orders. Keen attention to detail is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in product
• Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bin codes or
• other predetermined orders - for example, type, size, color, etc.
• Pull customer orders from stock according to purchase orders and/or shipping tickets
• Pack and prepare orders for shipping using common carriers; check packing lists
• Record amounts of items received or distributed in computerized inventory
• control system
• Conduct cycle counts
• Operate equipment (forklift, pallet movers) as necessary
• Use company vehicle to make pickups and deliveries as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment
• Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, shipping
• manifests, packing lists and/or shipping lists
• Basic computer skills such as data entry, and using Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control a plus
• Experience with multi-carrier shipping systems a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass an MVR driving check
• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three
• months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Computer skills required: Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite; Payroll Systems
