You will spend the majority of your time performing core warehouse functions such as shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and order preparation, while also training to serve as a backup delivery driver using a standard van. The position focuses on accurate handling of components, verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparation of items for delivery to a large industrial customer.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate dock activities, including loading and unloading trucks from carriers such as semi-trailers, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy of quantities, documentation, and product condition.
  • Prepare items for shipment, including routing materials and organizing Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments and related documentation.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing products, including material handling, picking, packing, and staging orders for delivery.
  • Use RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems to track, count, and manage stock in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Support valve automation and assembly work under supervision, applying mechanical aptitude to assist with basic assembly tasks.
  • Operate as a backup driver using a standard van to deliver products, following all safety and traffic regulations.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to company policies when transporting materials to customer sites.
  • Follow and actively promote company safety policies and procedures in all warehouse and driving activities.
  • Prioritize daily tasks effectively to meet shipping deadlines and customer requirements while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Perform repetitive warehouse tasks such as shipping, picking, packing, and counting, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Participate in training and shadowing to become proficient as a backup driver and in any additional warehouse processes.
  • Potentially operate a sit-down forklift if the role extends beyond the initial project period, using safe operating practices.
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with valves and related industrial components under supervision.
  • Experience with picking and packing orders in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and Outlook for communication and basic documentation.
  • Clean driving record with a valid state-issued driver’s license and willingness to operate as a backup driver using a standard van.
  • Hands-on experience with material handling, including moving, staging, and organizing products.
  • Ability to use RF scanners and warehouse inventory tools to track and manage stock.
  • Understanding of basic production and warehouse processes related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require continual use of hand and finger dexterity.
  • Capability to lift, push, and carry items up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy warehouse setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience using inventory tracking software such as SAP, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems used in industrial or automation environments.
  • Sit-down forklift experience or certification is a plus, particularly if the role extends beyond the initial project period.
  • Comfort working in a production or industrial distribution environment with established safety procedures.
