The Pre-Construction Associate Position

Preconstruction Associates are primarily responsible for providing accurate take-offs to Estimators and Project Managers utilizing various Dee Cramer estimating resources. Competency in reviewing and interpreting Construction Plans and Specifications is a core skillset. Preconstruction Associates will also be responsible for tracking and compiling data pertinent to Dee Cramer Preconstruction analytics.

The Preconstruction Associate will manage project documentation, assist with BIM and drafting tasks, and support handoff of awarded projects to operations. The position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working across estimating, engineering, and project teams.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Pre-Construction Associate Position

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of mechanical construction design or estimating support experience
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Excel and Office Suite experience required
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, and/or Autodesk MEP Suite
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team
