About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Regional Manager, Operational Services to lead and grow a region within our operational services organization. This is not simply a service management role.
We're looking for an operations leader who can successfully lead people, projects, profitability, and growth.
In this highly visible leadership role, you'll oversee a regional operations team, develop future leaders, drive financial performance, strengthen customer relationships, ensure accurate project billing, and identify opportunities to expand our business throughout the region.

What You'll Do: (Essential Functions)

  • Must comply with Roeslein & Associates’ core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships with employees.
  • This position will be responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training all new employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties to the standard of the organization. This position will also be responsible for developing the team and providing feedback for annual performance evaluations.
  • Must be a leader who represents the organization with the ability to be a liaison to our customers, adhere to company contracts, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Responsible for the escalation of employee issues and company violations to ensure the employee understands the policies and procedures of the organization. This position will create and deliver all employee disciplines with the support of Human Resources.
  • Performs all work in compliance with company standards, does not deviate from policies and procedures, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • This position will be the point of contact for the team and will respond timely to troubleshoot issues and avoid prolonged delays. Must be able to troubleshoot issues with complete resolution.
  • Identify all safety situations and report issues timely.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Must meet deadlines while safely producing a quality product.
  • Review drawings for project requirements and resources required.
  • Complete inspections at various stages of production to ensure customer specifications are being met and company quality standards are followed. Create a process checklist and coordinate quality inspections with the quality department.
  • Advise and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI’s) for consistency.
  • Must set and adjust employees’ rates of pay and hours of work in collaboration with the production manager.
  • Must have the ability to plan and direct the work of employees.
  • Must attend all manager meetings, training, and safety meetings as required.
  • Responsible for validating and ensuring proper billing.
  • Develop business opportunities within your region.
  • Manage resources to provide services in accordance with project scopes and to maintain a productive and efficient Operational Services group.
  • Develop the Operational Services group as required by seeking out highly qualified, capable, and motivated resources.
  • Provide ongoing employee development by mentoring and diligently working with Managers and Supervisors to establish clear objectives and goals for both technical and personal growth.
  • Support business development efforts through involvement in customer meetings and development of project and product proposals and estimates.
  • Have a high-level understanding of project scopes, finances, and schedules.
  • Ability to make authoritative decisions and recommendations that importantly impact the outcome of project installation activities.  
  • Ensure effective communication with all internal and external disciplines.
  • Can negotiate critical and controversial issues with top-level officers, engineers, and managers of other organizations and companies, requiring skills in persuasion and negotiation.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues on site required.
  • Travel domestically 10-50% per year.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all location.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring: (Skills, Abilities, Knowledge)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, technical services, field operations, engineering, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading service, operations, technical support, or field engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with project execution, workforce planning, budgeting, and financial accountability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and related business systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support customers, projects, and regional operations.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office and could be in a factory or field setting with an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. regularly is required.
