Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Associate, New Equipment Ops with a passion for construction, leading and coaching teams, to assist the New Equipment Superintendent and field operations team.

On a typical day you will:

  • Assist New Equipment Superintendent with directing, supervising and leading the performance of the field operations team as required

  • Assist with ordering parts as applicable

  • Coordinate all material deliveries and issuing purchase orders

  • Develop an understanding of and assist in maintaining our safety program

  • Support scheduling & other local controls for new equipment operations

  • Perform site field visits when required

  • Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with co-workers, field employees, clients, state & local authorities, and others in contact with the job

  • Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates

  • Administration and interpretation of contract writing and will perform customary construction process duties that include managing billing, consultant and contractors' payments, processing RFIs and optimizing change order opportunities, as well as maximizing project cash coverage

  • Assist with various warehouse duties, reporting and meeting tasks as required and assigned by management

What you will need to be successful:

Education / Certifications

  • Relevant Technical diploma or degree - High School diploma, required.

  • Construction Management education preferred

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous team lead or supervisory experience is considered an asset

  • Industry experience, preferred

  • A valid driver's license and a car are necessary

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The range for this role is $60,000 to $65,000. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
