Sr. AWS Engineer
Hartford, CT (Local candidates preferred)
Position type: W2 contract
 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. AWS Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will be responsible for implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions leveraging AWS services, automating infrastructure, and supporting our cloud-based applications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS core services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Route 53.
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools likeCloudFormation or Terraform to automate deployments.
  • Build and maintain serverless architectures and container services like AWS Lambda, ECS, and EKS.
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS Developer Tools or integrated third-party tools.
  • Implement security best practices, manage IAM roles, policies, and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues usingCloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other monitoring tools.
  • Manage networking configurations including VPC, subnets, security groups, and routing.
  • Optimize cloud resource costs and performance to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Support troubleshooting and incident management for AWS-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Design and orchestrate serverless microservices and distributed workflows using AWS Step Functions.
  • Manage and analyze AWS cost management and resource utilization.
  • Maintain knowledge of MongoDB and integrate it effectively within cloud environments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with AWS core services and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, IAM, and networking in AWS.
  • Expertise in automation with CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.
  • Experience with serverless architectures, Docker, ECS, and EKS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting AWS environments.
  • Good understanding of cost management strategies within AWS.
  • Experience working with MongoDB.
