For nearly a decade, Chenega Technical Innovations (CTI) has been an industry leader in the federal small business marketplace, providing agencies and commercial customers with tomorrow's solutions in Integration and IT. Today, CTI possesses hundreds of employees and dozens of operations, integrating federal and DoD programs and capabilities around the world.
Chenega Technical Innovations, LLC, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for our large federal government agency's highly complex network infrastructure environment, including multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.
Responsibilities
  • Provide design and engineering activities in support of new network solutions for a multi-enclave enterprise network environment that encompasses various technologies.
  • Provide network support on an as-needed basis to resolve networking issues that have not been resolved by the first three support tiers.
  • Gather user network requirements utilizing multiple methodologies to provide necessary technical documentation, system requirements documents, system security documents, and system test plan.
  • Install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues involving various protocols, topologies, networking hardware, etc.
  • Conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of internetworking, computer systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals to enhance understanding of current network designs and to collaborate with other team members to develop new network designs.
  • Apply technical and business experience and understanding to improve processes and procedures for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Work independently and collectively to help improve network solutions and contribute to network service improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions
    • Must have experience in troubleshooting complex Local Area Networking (LAN) issues and resolving Wide Area Networking (WAN) problems, and supporting cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutions.
    • Must have experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Services Routers (ASRs)
    • Must have experience providing Tier 3 support and issue resolution
    • Must have experience with network design and traffic engineering
    • Must have experience providing senior-level engineering support
    • Must have experience with TACLANE systems
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI: There is a CI polygraph test that is administered once onsite

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
  • Experience with SDWAN implementation and operations
  • Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
  • Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols and technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, and GRE.
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 technologies, including STP (Spanning Tree Protocol), MST (Multiple Spanning Tree), and VLANs.
  • Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail
  • Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
