Job Summary:
IMCS Group is one of the fastest growing MWBE staffing firms in the U.S., focusing on Diversity Recruitment for Fortune 500 companies. They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to write and engineer network device configuration scripts, implement network changes, and manage internal data network projects.
Responsibilities:
• Write/engineer network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours).
• Review and provide feedback on change documentation/engineering of other engineers.
• Establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized.
• Serve as second-tier support for network operations team when needed.
• Participate in on-call support escalation rotation.
• Translate business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Manage small/medium internal data network projects.
• Create detailed network designs that meet the customer requirements (including physical and logical) of complex network systems to meet the functional objectives of the business.
• Serve as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to associates on data, voice, and mobile network capabilities for utilizing the full capability of technology in designing effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
• 5+ years of experience as a Sr Network Engineer
• Experience with Fortinet Firewalls
• Automation skills with network infrastructure
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Networking
• Ability to write/engineer network device configuration scripts with associated change documentation
• Ability to implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours)
• Ability to review and provide feedback on change documentation/engineering of other engineers
• Ability to establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment
• Ability to serve as second-tier support for network operations team when needed
• Ability to participate in on-call support escalation rotation
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable deliverables
