Environment & Natural Resources Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is seeking an Environment & Natural Resources Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in Denver, Colorado.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 5-9 years of environmental transactions experience to join a nationally recognized Environmental practice. The team advises clients on high-profile, high-value transactions across a wide range of industries, including diversified industrials, aerospace and defense, life sciences, and sports and entertainment, with a focus on identifying and managing environmental risks in complex business transactions.
Responsibilities
Conduct environmental due diligence in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Prepare environmental due diligence reports and advise clients on transaction-related environmental risks.
Draft and negotiate environmental provisions in merger, acquisition, and other transactional agreements.
Counsel clients on environmental liabilities, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with corporate and transactional attorneys on sophisticated domestic and cross-border deals.
Analyze environmental laws and regulations affecting business transactions.
Provide strategic legal advice to clients throughout all phases of complex transactions.
Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in a U.S. state bar.
5-9 years of environmental transactions experience, preferably at a large law firm.
Experience conducting environmental due diligence for corporate transactions.
Experience preparing environmental diligence reports and drafting environmental provisions in M&A agreements.
Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and transactional risk assessment.
Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Outstanding academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $365,000-$420,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
