Job description

Location: Canada
Department: SAP Practice
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports to: SAP Practice Lead

About AIM Inc.

AIM Inc. is a global technology and cybersecurity-driven organization delivering enterprise IT, cloud, digital transformation, and managed security solutions across North America and international markets. We specialize in building scalable, secure, and performance-driven systems that empower businesses to modernize operations and achieve measurable outcomes.

Position Summary

AIM is seeking an SAP Enterprise Asset Management (Plant Maintenance) Functional Consultant to establish Roster Category 5 capability. AIM currently has no named EAM or Plant Maintenance consultant; the only PM content on the bench is incidental module exposure inside other resumes, and searches of AIM's SAP documentation return no fleet or work order delivery experience. Municipal EAM work - fleet, facilities, water and wastewater assets, linear infrastructure - is a recurring source of second-stage assignments and AIM cannot credibly bid it today.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.

Experience (Years / Type):

6-10 years in SAP Plant Maintenance / Enterprise Asset Management functional configuration, including at least one S/4HANA implementation or conversion.

Key Skills / Certifications:

•      SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Asset Management (or equivalent PM/EAM certification) preferred.

•      Technical objects: functional locations, equipment masters, bills of material, measuring points and counters.

•      Preventive and predictive maintenance: maintenance plans, strategies, task lists, scheduling and call horizons.

•      Corrective maintenance: notifications, work orders, order types, operations, confirmations, settlement and costing.

•      Fleet management objects (fleet equipment, consumption tracking, usage-based maintenance triggers).

•      PM integration to MM (spare parts, reservations, external procurement), FI/CO (settlement, cost centres, internal orders) and Funds Management.

•      Fiori applications and personas for maintenance planners, supervisors and technicians, including mobile work order execution.

•      EAM reporting and analytics, including backlog, compliance and cost-per-asset measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and support S/4HANA Asset Management, including technical object structures, maintenance planning and work order processing.
  • Design and implement preventive maintenance for asset classes such as fleet, facilities and water/wastewater equipment, including maintenance plans, strategies and task lists.
  • Configure work order types, priorities, planner groups and work centres aligned to client operating structures.
  • Implement maintenance notification and work order workflows, and the approval and settlement rules attached to them.
  • Design and deploy Fiori tiles and personas for maintenance roles, including mobile execution where in scope.
  • Build EAM reporting for maintenance compliance, backlog and asset cost, and support migration of that reporting to Power BI.
  • Support master data build and governance for functional locations and equipment, including data loads via the SAP Migration Cockpit.
  • Complete preliminary testing before delivery, support client User Acceptance Testing, and deliver documentation and knowledge transfer on every assignment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated hands-on PM/EAM configuration on at least one S/4HANA project - module exposure alone will not qualify.
  • Experience configuring preventive maintenance for fleet or linear/municipal infrastructure assets.
  • Understanding of the PM to MM and PM to FI/CO integration points and their costing consequences.
  • Municipal, utility or public works EAM experience is a strong asset.
  • Comfortable working directly with operations staff who are not SAP specialists.
