Primary Function:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Azure infrastructure, Office 365 administration, identity management, networking, security, automation, and hybrid cloud environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, NSGs, VPN Gateways, Load Balancers, Azure Firewall, and storage services.
  • Implement and maintain hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure services.
  • Administer and support Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and identity governance.
  • Configure and maintain Exchange Online mailboxes, mail flow, transport rules, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and email security policies.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 tenant administration, licensing, compliance settings, and security configurations.
  • Support Azure AD Connect and hybrid identity synchronization environments.
  • Configure and maintain Azure Backup, Site Recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Defender security solutions for email, endpoint, and identity protection.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, or PowerShell.
  • Automate cloud and Microsoft 365 administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex Azure, Office 365, networking, authentication, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and support documentation.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call rotation as needed.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure Storage, Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, Exchange Online, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and Identity & Access Management.
  • Experience managing hybrid Active Directory and Azure AD environments.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS/DHCP, VPN technologies, firewalls, identity security, and email security.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 licensing, tenant administration, and security policies.
  • Purview, Conditional Access Policies, MFA, and Microsoft Graph.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
