Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Device Refurbishment Technician to join our team in supporting the repair and refurbishment of Currie Medical Devices. This technician will ensure each device is thoroughly cleaned, reassembled, and packaged in accordance with company and regulatory standards for reuse.

Key Responsibilities

· Clean Medical Devices : Sanitize and disinfect pumps using approved cleaning agents and procedures to meet hygiene and infection control standards.

· Remove External Stickers: Carefully remove all hospital or outside vendor labels, stickers, and tags to prepare devices for reprocessing and shipment. Equipment used: heat gun, degreasers, scrapers, scrub brushes, air compressor...etc.

· Retainer Clip Installation/Removal: Add or remove retainer clips as needed to ensure secure assembly of the pump electrical cord prior to reuse.

· Pump Hook Replacement: Install or replace pump hooks as part of the routine refurbishment process to maintain full device functionality.

· Inspect and clean electrical cords for all pump models.

· Utilize hand and power tools to assemble, install, and repair medical devices.

· Packaging and Shipping Preparation: Assemble shipping boxes, pack devices securely, and ensure proper labeling and documentation for outbound shipments.

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

· Ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Basic mechanical skills and experience handling small tools preferred. Ex. cordless drill, screwdriver, heat gun, air compressor etc.

· Capable of standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

· Previous experience in medical device cleaning, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is a plus but not necessary.

Typical Schedule is 7am to 3:30 pm M-F
