Job description

Overview

The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time and substitute basis in Mechatronics and Electrical courses.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Associate's Degree in Mechatronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or related discipline. Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Preferred
  • Formal coursework in Education. Preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2) years of related work experience. Required
  • Teaching experience at the high school, trade, or college level. Preferred

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required
  • Developed organizational skills. Required
  • Possession of a valid driver's license. Preferred
Responsibilities
  • Instruct and evaluate student performance in Mechatronics and Electrical courses.
  • Maintain accurate written records of student performances and attendance and submit to the School office at the end of each semester.
  • Assume responsibility for laboratory coordination and maintenance.
  • Comply with College safety, hazardous waste disposal, and recycling policies.
  • Supervise students in laboratory cleanup activities.
  • Maintain office hours according to parttime agreement.
  • participate in School assessment process.
  • Maintain communication with School administrators as appropriate.
  • Requisition supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and maintenance as appropriate.

  • Physical Standards and Special Job FeaturesNonePay TransparencyThe part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.College StatementThis is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
