Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician E is a senior-level technical expert responsible for supporting and guiding complex manufacturing and assembly operations involving parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. In this advanced role, you will independently perform and lead assembly, setup, calibration, troubleshooting, rework, inspection, and quality testing within a production environment, ensuring products are built to specification and meet stringent quality and performance requirements. This position requires extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, production workflows, and the tools and equipment necessary to support efficient, accurate, and repeatable build operations.
Working with a high degree of independence, you will provide technical leadership across daily assembly activities, resolve complex production issues, and support the achievement of quality, delivery, and operational goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Using hands-on technical expertise and advanced software tools to collect and analyze operating and test data, you will make informed adjustments to assemblies, processes, and equipment to improve performance and ensure compliance. You will also mentor lower-level technicians, provide technical guidance on assignments, and contribute to the development of new assembly methods, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen overall production performance.
Essential Functions
  • Perform advanced setup, calibration, testing, rework, and troubleshooting across components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Use sophisticated software tools to collect and evaluate operating data and make adjustments to processes or equipment.
  • Develop, refine, and recommend new manufacturing methods, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
  • Independently resolve complex production issues requiring initiative and advanced technical judgment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, or an Associate Degree with at least 6 years of related experience.
  • Advanced technical expertise in manufacturing processes and methods.
  • Ability to work autonomously, lead assignments, and mentor others.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across and outside departments.

Preferred Additional Skills
  • Experience leading teams or acting as a facilitator in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong ability to create, refine, and implement new process concepts or techniques.
  • Expertise with manufacturing data systems, diagnostics, or advanced testing tools.
