Job Description Summary
Dauch is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Warren, MI who is passionate about driving operational excellence through process improvement and innovation. This individual will develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and production methods to maximize efficiency, quality, and throughput. The ideal candidate will leverage data to evaluate process capability, identify opportunities for improvement, and resolve manufacturing and design challenges. They will play a key role in supporting new product launches, ensuring manufacturing readiness, and implementing advanced technologies, including automation and robotics. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
Job Description:
• Develops manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments; evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements.
• Recommends new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and operating equipment, evaluating equipment capabilities and service history; evaluating vendor service and support.
• Completes equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings.
• Monitors equipment installations by advising crews.
• Meets production requirements by designing equipment modifications as needed
• Prepares equipment operators by conducting training; providing reference and support resources.
• Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
• Maintains equipment records by filing documents; updating equipment database.
• Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
• Develops product cost structures and estimates product cost for customers.
• All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years manufacturing experience.
AutoCAD, Mastercam, and CAM programming experience.
