Scope:

  • Review and create internal documentation package (bill of materials, configuration control, work instructions)

  • Support production and process engineering with documentation updates

  • Support customer calls and visit with documentation reviews and audits

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Initiating the methodology by which printed circuit boards assemblies are manufactured efficiently and consistently in order to meet customer quality requirements

  • Applies common engineering principles to identify and quantify improvement opportunities for product design and process methodology, and will consider all aspects of the manufacturing process including manpower, methods, materials, machines, measurements, and the work environment

  • Analyzes yield and statistical process control data and provides corrective actions for issues that negatively impact the performance of the division

  • Assembly process review for definition and implementation of Manufacturing Tooling for products to be manufactured.

  • Provide direct assistance to the Production Floor for Assembly / Process / Technical issues and work to enhance and simplify documentation utilized by production floor associates with process engineering.

  • Interface directly with customers as well as provide DFM (design for manufacturability) support as necessary.

  • Knowledge of all manufacturing equipment, programming requirements, set up and associated maintenance procedures.

  • Implementation of ECO/Manufacturing Change Notices.

  • Ability to handle all methods engineering job disciplines and provide support (technical and workload) to other engineers as required.

  • Perform contract review to ensure compliance with end-customer requirements.

  • Prepares project plans, manages/executes completion in time-critical manner

  • Ensure production department(s) are in compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards

  • Perform RCCA and 8D corrective actions

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to interpret customer documentation (Blueprints, drawings, bills of material, specifications)

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) and organization skills

  • Working knowledge of MRP system a plus (Oracle)

  • Solidworks or similar 3d modeling software a plus;

  • Hands on skills for mechanical assembly; a plus

  • Use of basic hand tools and machine shop equipment

  • Cross-functional communication skills, partnering across engineering, quality, and operations

Education and Experience:

Education:

  • BS Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Manufacturing) or equivalent experience required

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous engineering experience within a PCBA environment

  • Working knowledge of Industry and Military Standards

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
