Position Summary:  Provide materials, warehouse, and inventory management related services to the Business Unit. Deliver quality customer service by ensuring materials (may include both direct and indirect materials) are available at the appropriate locations as needed by operations per plan. Responsible for ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed, and the appropriate reports, records and documents are maintained. Responsible for full life cycle management of materials purchased/manufactured by the company.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supports operations team as an expert on inventory transactions.
  • Acts as a leader when supporting the physical inventory process.
  • Supports lean initiatives of the Kanban process, visual shop floor controls, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Run critical shortage report and expedite as required
  • Support COGI & inventory accuracy activities (including Inventory Audits)
  • Control inventory in & out of departments
  • Expediting material in house
  • Inter-factory Shipment (Major Components)
  • Pick Verification (quantity available, location, and completion)
  • Root Cause Analysis, relative to material availability at point of use(MA@POU)
  • Resolve Area Problem Resolution (Damage, Space, replenishment method/frequency adjustments etc.)
  • New product Material Plan Execution
  • Resolve/Overflow Area Management, Measurement, and Resolution

 

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Interpersonal Skills that support a team/collaborative environment
  • Effective Communication Skills when dealing with team members on the shop floor, planning team, Supply management team, and potentially manufacturing engineering.
  • Computer application / program skills
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -experience in Excel Macro writing/editing preferred
    • SAP - experience in PP, SD, MM, IM, and/or WM
  • Project Management Skills
  • Time Management Skills Analytical Skills
  • Ability to be decisive and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strategic/critical thinking in material flow and execution

Education and/or Experience:  Preferred Associate Degree and/or experience in Supply Chain, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Industrial Technology, or Manufacturing Technology.  Bachelor's in supply chain, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Technology, or Manufacturing Technology preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management preferred.

Language Skills:      

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and complete necessary production forms.  Ability to speak effectively with fellow employees and/or customers. 

Mathematical Skills:                                                    

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:                                                        

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several variables; problem solving ability.

Required Personal Protective Equipment

Employee is required to wear proper safety eyewear, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor.

Hourly compensation for this role is $20.00+ per hour. This full-time position is eligible for a paid time off plan that includes 10 additional company paid holidays, 401(k) and/or Roth 401(k) with company match after one (1) month of employment plus quarterly Core Defined Contributions, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
