Summary:

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assembles and repairs various highly complex technical electro-mechanical assemblies

  • Tests the functionality of equipment or sub-assemblies.

  • Familiar with standard production concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing field such as Lean and ISO

  • Cross training of processes within product lines and across product lines

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required

  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments

  • Must follow procedures (photodocs) to meet quality specifications for each job and not deviate from procedures

  • Assists engineering staff in refining assembly protocols and design of equipment and fixtures

  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily/weekly goals

  • Works under general supervision, a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

  • Working in a clean room environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • General computer skills and experience with MS Office (Word/Excel)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP

  • Prior work experience in an ISO manufacturing environment

  • Assembler experience working with complex electromechanical assemblies and instrumentation

  • Excellent manual dexterity to work on complex, intricate assemblies

Physical Requirements & Expectations:

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.

  • Be able to reach, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Compensation Range:

The hourly pay range for this full-time position is $18.00 - $22.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
