Assistant Teacher Position

We are looking for Assistant Teachers for full-time part year at multiple locations in the Rochester area!!
This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining the classroom environment and materials, activity preparation, contributing to curriculum plans, daily participation in program with children, and other activities and duties necessary to support the teacher and classroom. This position also directs small group time and manages a caseload of 4-5 children including documentation and assessments.
Qualifications:
The position requires a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with the desire to continue their education. Candidates who have CDA must be willing to continue education in Early Childhood or a related field. Head Start and Families First of Minnesota offers continuing education opportunities for individuals seeking to obtain an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the field of Early Childhood Education. Experience in early childhood is preferred, but not necessary. Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aide certification.
This non-exempt position is scheduled 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M. with occasional evening events. Compensation is based upon education level, starting at $21.76/hour. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability and 403(b) Retirement Savings, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays and personal holidays.
Head Start parents are encouraged to apply and will be given preference based on qualifications.
